I’d be a hypocrite if I said I’d never had hotdogs for breakfast but it’s not necessarily something I, traditionally, encourage.  After wrapping on an early morning shoot out Rob Parker’s All Star Dawgs in Detroit, Rob insisted we try the ‘merchandise,’ so to speak.  I’m pretty loyal to Koegels but Rob’s got something special here.  Sabretts are pretty much everywhere in New York but, up until our shoot, I hadn’t come across one around here.  I’ll spare you a long-winded review.  They’re good.  They’re super cheap.  And you could do a lot worse for breakfast.  Trust me on that.

We are a small production house with fast, demanding deadlines that call for creative, efficient approaches. We have a casual family atmosphere, so sense of humor is a must.

We are looking for:
-Proactive motion graphics/editor with strengths in graphic layout and typography.
-Proficient in After Effects (CS5) and FCP (7) as well as a working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
-Must have the ability to work both supervised and unsupervised.
-Ability to multi-task, work quickly but still have a meticulous attention to detail.
-Journalistic editing knowledge also a big plus.

You must be able to work a flexible schedule with some weekends. Right now we are looking for someone to edit 1-2 days a week and be vacation relief. There’s a good chance if the fit is right that it could become more consistent and full-time in the near future.

My friend Liz Blondy owns Canine to Five a doggie daycare, boarding and grooming facility in Midtown Detroit. I’ve been trying to get her to do some cable advertising. Well a couple of weeks ago she agreed to take the leap and so Velocity Cow quickly produced an ad for her that starts running on Comcast on Monday. I really hope it works.
